Peace

This powerful message invites us into the profound reality of divine peace during a season that often feels anything but peaceful. Drawing from Isaiah 11:6-9, we encounter a stunning vision where natural enemies—wolves and lambs, leopards and goats—dwell together in perfect harmony. This isn't just poetic imagery about a distant future; it's a present reality available to us through Christ. The message challenges us to consider our own 'natural enemies'—that difficult relative, the person we can't imagine sharing a meal with, the relationship fractured by past wounds. Forgiveness emerges as the doorway through which peace enters our lives, modeled perfectly by Jesus on the cross saying, 'Father, forgive them.' Paired with Philippians 4:6-7, we're reminded that Christ offers us a peace that transcends human understanding, a peace that guards our hearts even amid holiday chaos and anxiety. The beauty of Advent is recognizing that we don't have to wait for Christ's return to experience this peace—it's already available because Jesus has arrived. This message calls us to both receive this gift and become conduits of peace, extending forgiveness and understanding to others, especially during the demanding holiday season.
