Jesus Prays for Us

This powerful exploration of John 17 reveals what many call the true Lord's Prayer - not the prayer Jesus taught us to pray, but the prayer Jesus himself prayed for us. As we sit at the table with Christ in the upper room, just before his journey to Gethsemane, we discover something remarkable: Jesus wasn't praying in fear, but with joy. His mission was about to be completed, and God's eternal plan fulfilled. The central revelation here is breathtaking - the entire purpose of the universe is for us to know God. Not just know about Him, but truly experience Him in relationship. Eternal life isn't about quantity of days, but quality of connection. Just as marriage is more than living together and raising children, our relationship with God transcends religious activities. It's about intimacy, about knowing and being known. Jesus glorified the Father by doing everything God asked, and now he calls us to the same sacrificial, humble life - one that thinks not less of ourselves, but of ourselves less. This isn't a life centered on our hurts, wants, or careers, but on bringing glory to the One who created us for relationship with Himself.
